“We have recently implemented a new Free Directory Enquiries service. This process allows a caller to phone in, free of charge and request a number. Once the agent has established the correct company and/or name, the caller is transferred to an automated IVR system and passes the number requested which is then read back to the caller.
If the callers number is a mobile, prior to the IVR transfer happening, we have utilised the Dynmark .NET API and an in-house webservice to post an XML packet to Dynmark with a text message that details the number the caller requested and an abridged version of the advert they heard over the IVR system. The text message is delayed slightly to ensure they listen to the message first.
We have also built into the website a facility for a mobile user to enter their number and receive a text message to allow them to store the 0800 100 100 number quickly in their phone.”
